Terms of Service

1. Who these terms cover

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a contract between you and Reunionsoft [LLC] ("Reunionsoft," "we," "us"), located in Tampa, Florida. They govern your use of reunionsoft.com, any reunion page hosted on a custom domain we register for an organizer, our emails, and everything else we provide (together, the "Service").

The Service is used by three kinds of people, and different parts of these Terms apply to each:

• Organizers: people who create an account and run a reunion workspace: build the class list, find classmates, send invitations, sell tickets, and manage the event.
• Attendees: people who RSVP or buy a ticket on a reunion page. You do not need an account.
• Classmates: people whose name or contact details an organizer adds to a class list. You may never have visited the site. Section 8 and our Privacy Policy explain your rights.

By creating an account, RSVPing, buying a ticket, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

2. Accounts

You sign in with a one-time code we email you; there are no passwords. Keep access to your email account secure. Anyone who can read your email can sign in as you. You are responsible for everything done through your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Organizers may add classmates who are minors only if the class list is a genuine school roster and the organizer has a legitimate reason to include them; we do not knowingly locate contact information for anyone under 18.

One person may run more than one reunion, and each reunion is its own workspace. Right now a reunion has a single organizer account; if you share your sign-in email with other committee members, you are responsible for what they do.

3. What the Service does

Reunionsoft helps a volunteer organizer pull off a class reunion. Depending on what you use, the Service lets you:

• Claim a school and graduation year and build a class list by importing a spreadsheet, adding people by hand, or letting classmates join themselves.
• Spend search credits to look up current contact information for a classmate through a licensed people-data provider (see Section 5).
• Send reunion invitations by email from Reunionsoft, with you named as the organizer.
• Publish a public reunion page with event details, RSVPs, and optional paid tickets.
• Collect ticket payments through Stripe and receive payouts to a bank account you connect (see Section 6).
• Track a budget, assign tasks to volunteers, and check guests in on the night of the event.
• Register a custom domain for your reunion page as a yearly subscription (see Section 7).

We may add, change, or remove features at any time. We will give reasonable notice before removing a feature you have paid for.

4. Fees and payment

Prices are shown on the Service at the time you buy. All amounts are in U.S. dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe; by paying you also agree to Stripe's terms. We do not store card numbers.

The fees you may encounter are:

• Search credit packs: a one-time purchase. Credits never expire and can be used across every reunion you run. New accounts receive a small number of free credits.
• Ticket fees: a percentage plus a fixed amount per paid ticket, disclosed on the Tickets page and deducted automatically from each sale before payout. Card-processing costs are included in this fee.
• Custom domain: a yearly subscription that renews automatically until you cancel.
• Any reunion setup or platform fee shown on our pricing page at the time you sign up.

The reunion fee comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee: email us within 30 days of the charge and we will refund it in full, no questions asked. The workspace returns to sample-data mode and the public page comes down; anything you added stays on file for 30 more days in case you change your mind. Otherwise, except where these Terms or the law say otherwise, all purchases are final. Search credits are not refundable once purchased, but a credit is only ever deducted for a confident match. A search that finds nothing costs you nothing. If a domain registration fails after you have paid, we will refund the charge and cancel the subscription.

Prices can change. A change to ticket fees applies only to tickets sold after the change; a change to the domain subscription price applies at your next renewal, with notice by email beforehand.

5. Search credits and classmate lookups

When you spend a credit, we send a classmate's name, your school, graduation year, and (if known) their last city to People Data Labs, a licensed data provider, and ask for the single best match above a high confidence threshold. If a match comes back we save the returned email, phone, city, and social-profile links to that classmate's record. We never overwrite a detail a person typed in themselves.

Lookups are only as good as the source data. We do not guarantee that any classmate will be found, that a match is the right person, or that the contact details are current. Before you email or call, use your own judgment, and if a classmate tells you they are not who you think, remove or correct the record.

You may only run lookups for people who genuinely belong to a class you organize a reunion for. Do not use the Service to locate people for any other purpose, including debt collection, tenant or employment screening, or contacting someone who has asked not to be contacted. The people-data we use is not a consumer report and may not be used for any purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

6. Tickets, payouts, and refunds

Ticket payments run through Stripe Connect. To receive payouts, the organizer completes Stripe's onboarding and links a bank account. Reunionsoft is the merchant of record for ticket purchases and transfers each sale, minus our fee, to the organizer's connected Stripe account. Stripe's payout timing applies; it is typically a couple of business days but is not guaranteed.

The organizer: not Reunionsoft, is responsible for the reunion itself: the venue, the date, what a ticket includes, and whether the event happens. Attendees buy tickets from the organizer's class, and any question about the event or a refund goes to the organizer first.

Refunds are at the organizer's discretion unless the event is cancelled, in which case the organizer must refund attendees. Organizers can ask us to issue a refund through Stripe. When a refund is issued, our fee on that ticket is not returned.

If an attendee disputes a charge with their card issuer, the disputed amount is reversed from the organizer's connected account, and Stripe's dispute fee may apply. Organizers agree to keep enough in their connected account to cover disputes and to help us respond to them promptly with event details and proof of delivery.

You may not use ticketing to sell anything other than admission to the reunion described on the page, or to collect money for a purpose that is illegal or prohibited by Stripe.

7. Custom domains

An organizer can buy a custom domain (for example, a class-and-year name) that points to their reunion page. We register the domain on your behalf through our hosting provider's registrar and hold it in our account. The domain is licensed to you for as long as the subscription is active; you may not use it for anything other than the reunion page, and we may decline names that are premium-priced, trademarked, or offensive.

The subscription renews yearly. Cancel any time by emailing us; the domain stays live until the end of the paid year and then stops resolving. If you would like the domain transferred to your own registrar account after the first year, email us and we will help where the registrar allows it.

8. Organizer responsibilities for classmate data

When you upload a class list, add a classmate, or run a lookup, you are giving us personal information about other people. You promise that:

• You have a legitimate connection to the class: you are a graduate, a committee member, or acting for the school or alumni association.
• Your list comes from a legitimate source such as a yearbook, an alumni directory, or classmates themselves, and you are allowed to use it for reunion outreach.
• You will use the information only to plan and hold the reunion, and not for marketing, sales, or any unrelated purpose.
• You will honor opt-outs. If a classmate asks not to be contacted, you will mark them as such or remove them, and you will not contact them again through the Service or outside it.
• You will not export contact details to sell, share with third parties, or use for anything other than the reunion.

Invitations you send through the Service go out from Reunionsoft with your name as the organizer and your account email as the reply address. You are the sender for purposes of anti-spam law, and you agree to comply with the CAN-SPAM Act and any similar law where your classmates live.

9. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to the Service: class lists, event descriptions, cover images, notes, budgets, and tasks ("Your Content"). You give us a license to host, store, display, and transmit Your Content as needed to run the Service, including on your public reunion page and in emails sent on your behalf. That license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies in backups and records we must keep.

You are responsible for Your Content. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use, anything defamatory or harassing, or anything that would break the law. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

10. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any event other than a genuine school, class, or alumni reunion, or misrepresent an event.
• Use lookups or class lists to stalk, harass, or contact someone who has opted out.
• Send unsolicited commercial email, or use invitations to promote products or services.
• Scrape, crawl, or bulk-export data from the Service other than through the export features we provide.
• Interfere with the Service, probe its security, or access another organizer's workspace.
• Resell, sublicense, or white-label the Service without our written agreement.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and may withhold payouts connected to fraudulent or abusive activity while we investigate.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on other companies: Stripe for payments and payouts, Resend for sending email, People Data Labs for classmate lookups, Neon for our database, Vercel for hosting and domain registration, and a support-chat widget on our marketing site. Their availability affects ours, and their terms apply to your direct relationship with them (for example, Stripe's Connected Account Agreement when you connect a bank account). We are not responsible for their services.

12. Ending your account

You can stop using the Service at any time. To delete your account and the reunions you organize, email us; we will delete your workspace data within 30 days, subject to Section 13 and to records we must keep for tax, payment, and dispute purposes. Unused search credits are forfeited when an account is deleted.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law or by a payment partner, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate without cause, we will refund the unused portion of any prepaid subscription.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that lookups will find anyone, that contact details are accurate, that emails will be delivered, that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that your reunion will be a success.

Reunionsoft is a tool for organizers. We do not organize, host, or supervise reunions and are not a party to the arrangement between an organizer and attendees.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Reunionsoft and its owners, employees, and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or the cost of substitute services, arising from or related to the Service, even if we were told such damages were possible.

Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) one hundred U.S. dollars. Some states do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Reunionsoft from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your reunion, your use of classmate data, your emails, or your breach of these Terms or the law.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that we cannot resolve informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Hillsborough County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may seek an injunction in any court to protect its intellectual property.

If you have a problem, email us first. Most issues can be sorted out in a day or two.

17. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms. If a change is material, we will email account holders or post a notice on the Service at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept the new Terms. The effective date at the top tells you when this version began.

18. Everything else

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any fees shown at purchase, are the whole agreement between you and Reunionsoft about the Service. If a court finds any part unenforceable, the rest still applies. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them in connection with a merger, sale, or reorganization.
